Rose Gold so perfectly describes both the color and elegance of this flower, which is waxy, substantive, heavily ruffled, and sports an exquisite gold filigree edge. Flowers with this much substance and ruffling often do not open well here int he Pacific Northwest, but this one does, likely owing to the fact that it is an early morning opener. The hybridizing possibilities for this flower are substantial, not only for its form and substance, but for the exquisite gold edge, and I expect its usefulness in hybridizing flowers in the brown color class.
